Horse Riding Bulgaria

Konna Baza Sakar offers horse riding activities and experiences based in the beautiful village of Srem in South East Bulgaria. 

Our horses are all chosen for their gentle natures, sure-footed 4×4 capabilities and their ‘ride-ability, making them perfect for both beginners and those who know how to ride. 

Our trail-riding, horse riding tours and trekking activities take place in the Derventski Heights nature area (an EU designated site of community interest or SCI) located right on our door-step.

Each of our horse riding tours offers something unique; from exploring woodland trails and wildlife spotting to Insta-worthy sunsets high on the reserve’s grass covered hills. 

We also offer; carriage rides, riding lessons, children’s activity camps, farm themed birthdays and events all from our farm base.

Located only 21 Kms from the town of Elhovo and 19 Kms from Topolovgrad in the nature reserve of the Dervent/Derventski Heights, Konna Basa Sakar is perfectly situated to allow exploration of the gentle hills and large deciduous forests so synonymous with the reserve. 

We offer equestrian experiences and horse riding to suit every level of visitor, from gentle carriage tours around the village to our three-hour plus rides to river picnic spots, ancient Thracian Sun Sanctuaries and additional activities (river play, forest bathing, Sun Circle meditation etc.).

If you’d rather keep your feet firmly on the ground, we offer equine assisted forest bathing, where visitors can walk with our horses deep into the reserve to graze the beneficial and diverse foliage, while they relax and recharge in the beautiful and pristine forest environment.

And, if you don’t want to horse ride at all, but are accompanying someone who does, you can either relax at the farm and enjoy our beautiful garden setting, or visit our well-stocked and bustling local caferestaurant and watch the Srem-world go by.
