It’s not just about horse riding at Konna Baza Sakar! We know not everyone is a rider and not everyone wants to be with horses and ride the whole time they’re with us, so we’ve also got a whole host of additional outdoor and village based activities on offer.

Outdoor Play and Exploration

Srem village is the perfect base for your kids to get outside and into nature. We have acres of reserve to explore, lovely neighbours who are more than happy to show them around their gardens and animal herds plus rivers, lakes, archaeological remains and more…

 

Freshwater Fishing

The second largest river in Bulgaria, the Tundhza runs right through Srem village and offers some of the best freshwater fishing in the region. The sport is ideal for those who take their fishing seriously and those who simply want to enjoy the experience with their children.

For those who want to fish; we can organise the permit, supply the gear and even show you some of the best fishing spots.

Mountain Biking

Srem village is located off the main trunk road and on the edge of the Dervent Heights Nature Reserve. This means, whether you choose to cycle around the village itself, or explore the hundreds of kilometres within the reserve- mountain biking with us is safe, varied and really great fun!

We have a selection of mountain bikes to suit children from 8 years up to adult. We’re also in the process of mapping the reserve tracks, to ensure our bikers don’t miss any of the archaeological sites, likely spots of wildlife and of course, don’t get lost!

 

Archery at KBS

We offer children’s archery sessions at the farm. This activity is ideal for children aged 8-plus, although we have had children significantly younger- thoroughly enjoy the activity when assisted by an adult.

 

Children’s Camps and Parties

Konna Baza Sakar is the idea location for holding your child’s next birthday party. Let us help you plan the day with a mix of our activities including: photobooths, archery, horse riding, carriage tours, activities and games, mini petting farm animals and more.

We also run several overnight and single day children’s camps throughout the year. These are based around themes such as; forest adventures, horsey-fun, survival techniques and holidays like- Halloween, Christmas and Easter.

Regardless of the theme, our camps additionally focus on learning, play, socialising with children of different nationalities and improving their spoken English language.

Forest Bathing in Bulgaria

Thanks to our incredible location, we’re lucky enough to have hectares of wild hardwood forestry to use and explore.

Join us for an equine-assisted forest bathing session, where we’ll ride deep into the forest to the perfect tranquil location for ‘bathing.’ Tether your horse and grab yourself one of our heirloom traditional Bulgarian blankets and find your own spot to relax and unwind.

Kayaking and Paintball

Our friends at Extreme Adventure G & P, offer fantastic kayaking excursions along the Tundzha river. These tours are perfect for the whole family and include tour guide and instruction, kayaks and all essential safety equipment.

The same team also offers paintballing activities in and around Srem. Both activities require pre-booking and six-plus participants.
